What They Needed
The DEMDACO brand specializes in curating artisan gifts and home decor items to foster meaningful connections in the lives of their customers. Under DEMDACO, the Willow Tree brand furthers that goal and seeks to heal, comfort, and inspire through their collection of unique, hand-carved sculptures by artist Susan Lordi.
As their business grew, DEMDACO began looking to expand their email marketing impact to increase conversion. They wanted a provider that would not only offer a more customized experience for marketers, but one that would also integrate easily with BigCommerce, their e-commerce platform.

Frequency Policy
Bloomreach’s frequency policy is a feature which limits the number of emails sent to customers and subscribers, allowing a brand finer control over unsubscribe, complaint, and spam rates.
The Arctic Leaf team recommended using the Smart Newsletter Policy and updating the brand’s segmentation strategy to better align with their audience. As a result, we saw a significant increase in open rate and click rate as well as a nearly 70% decrease in bounce rate.
Continued Optimization
To continue ramping up email performance and draw in more revenue, our team is building out additional flow optimization strategies. With campaign audits and in-depth flow analysis, our team aims to identify the gaps where new flows might better capture the brand’s audience.
